    Fave beverage/book combo?

I drink tea all day, every day...so it's more like I already happen to have a cuppa in hand when I get to reading!
  2. Huzzah! My nonfiction early reader book is now in print!

The illustrations turned out even better than I anticipated :D:D:D

  5. Moon Palace Books (On Minnehaha) is doing a book BINGO challenge this summer called "Reading without walls." Some of the challenges are "Read a book with a differently-abled character," "read a book about science," and "read a book about a character who doesn't look like you." Love this idea!

Here's a link. Find a link to the actual BINGO card at the bottom of the page: http://www.moonpalacebooks.com/reading-without-walls-bingo-challenge

P.S. This is a challenge clearly geared toward kids, but I think it could be valuable for anyone :)

I'm doing this! Started late but so far I've got Dragonsdawn, Saga V. I, and What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours. What are you reading?

Thank you! Yes, it is Vietnam. I was in SE Asia this past February. Fantastic trip. :)

  7. Great article at Tor.com:

"Princess Buttercup Became the Warrior General Who Trained Wonder Woman, All Dreams Are Now Viable"

  8. Tonight is the "Not So Silent Planet" open mic night at Kieran's Pub. It's the country's ONLY recurring open-mic dedicated to speculative fiction: fantasy, sci-fi, or supernatural horror!  Participate, or just sit back and watch :)
